I’m so proud to be a part of a local initiative in Northeast Wisconsin called ARTiculture Community Supported Arts, which aims to directly support artists here and in the northern Midwest. Entirely volunteer-driven and not-for-profit, ARTiculture follows a model similar to community supported agriculture, where “shares” of original artworks are available for purchase, the proceeds of which go directly to the artists. We believe that artists should be paid for their work, because art is work! Artists contribute creative insight and contributions to the local economy and their communities, especially if they are given the resources to succeed. We hope that ARTiculture can play at least a small part in supporting the arts here in Wisconsin.
On Saturday, December 12 from 5-8pm, we will be hosting our end-of-season event at a brand new venue in Appleton called The Draw, a multipurpose creative space for artists and businesses. Join us for super yummy refreshments, original art, great company, and plenty of holiday cheer! Visit the events page or the ARTiculture Facebook event page for all the details! Thank you for your support, and happy holidays!
