Recent Carnegie Mellon College of Fine Art MFA graduate Yunmi Her visited Highland Park, a green space in Pittsburgh, every day at 4pm and filmed slightly different angles each day. He was surprised to find that some people appeared day after day at the same time as he did, and he captures them as they stroll by in the distance along with sounds of others around, like people speaking or children hooting. The figures in the composite film images are sometimes the same on different days, appearing and disappearing out of one afternoon and into another. I particular love Her’s film detail (second video) which gives us a close-up view of some of the figures as they wend in and out of both film and time frames.
